Well, I've been meaning to post about my birthday for weeks! June 5th I turned an amazing 28! Yikes. Well, for the first time I actually don't feel 19. Hmmm. First I went and got a pedicure. I rarely have time for alone time so I enjoy being pampered sometimes. I ran out of time for my manicure! Then John, Julia, Bryce and I went to eat at Texas De Brazil. Yummy! If you have never been to a churrascarria (Brazilian steakhouse), I highly recommend it! Next we took the kids home and Kim watched and played with them while we went to see a movie.
I won't bore you with the details of that, but the movie was hilarious. Plus we hadn't been to the movies in forever! Finally, John and I came home and were met by the rest of my HUGE family. Mom, dad, nena, Adam, Kim and Harry, Bryce and Julia. We had yummy chocolate cake with chocolate shavings, vanilla ice cream and chocolate covered strawberries. It was amazing and yummy, yet seriously too much sugar!
Oh and did I mention that John bought me another chocolate cake because he didn't know my parents got me one. I have no idea why Americans are overweight, or diabetic. lol. Don't worry we didn't even eat 1/4 of one cake. John also gave me a nice card and sent me on a little scavenger hunt around the house. The card lead me to the coat closet where I had to look in a jacket and I found money and a cute little coupon from John that said "good for two foot massages!" Then that note lead me upstairs to find even more money and another cute personalized coupon from John! How thoughtful and nice! That was my birthday...Awesome!
